*Over the last decade the money appropriated to produce the Redbook has decreased while the printing costs have continued to rise. In order to continue to publish enough books to meet our statutory obligations (schools, libraries, media and legislators), as well as provide an adequate number for other interested individuals, businesses and government agencies, we have decided not to include the precinct by precinct results of the 1998 general election in this edition of the Redbook. However, these results, as well as the precinct by precinct results of the June 29, 1999 special election on two proposed amendments to the Iowa Constitution will be published in a separate booklet by the Secretary of State’s Office.
