Abstract
Iowa's merged area community colleges and vocational-technical schools have been well prepared by events of recent years for the era of accountability in education. This paper reports on the progress that community colleges and vocational technical schools have made in providing post-high school training that has contributed to gratifying personal growth and occupational readiness for the citizens of Iowa.
