Abstract

The primary purpose of this survey was to collect data from adults Iowans who were 18 years or older to assess their health and wellbeing, substance use and gambling behaviors. mental health, and risk of suicide. The is the first statewide survey of Iowa adults that combines substance use and gambling behaviors. Additionally, the study is part of a broader effort in the state that includes the Integrated Provider Network (IPN) evaluation. The findings from this study will be used to plan and implement services across the state to prevent and address the potential problems that arise from substance use and gambling.
