Abstract
This report examines the documentation, design and implementation of an automated system for libraries in Iowa. Time consuming library procedures provided the beginning steps for what should be automated. Those procedures included cataloging, interlibrary loan, book rotation, centralized ordering, circulation, borrower registration and overdue notices Flowcharts are included in the descriptions of automation procedures.
