Abstract
The Dropout Prevention Interim Study Committee was established by order of the Legislative Council of the 73rd General Assembly, First Session, to study the factors that lead to dropping out of school and the effectiveness of existing programs. The Committee was also charged with the duty to recommend state and local initiatives to curtail the dropout problem and educational alternatives for current dropouts.
