Abstract
The Board recognizes that practitioners who serve in the schools of Iowa today will shape the values and capabilities of future generations. To enhance the quality of life for the citizens of Iowa, the board's vision will emphasize excellence and equity at all levels of the education profession. The Board supports an educational system in which all students can learn in a safe and supportive environment. All practitioners contribute to the education of students and help create an environment that fosters the growth and education of all students. The Board believes that all members of the educational profession must be prepare and licensed on the basis of rigorous standards.
