Abstract
The purpose of this study was to obtain information concerning: (a ) the effect of K fertilizer applications on the yield and K content of corn plants under different soil and environmental conditions found in the North Central Region, (b) the amount of exchangeable K in field-moist and dried soil samples from different soil profiles, (c) relationships between exchangeable K in the soils and the K content and yield of corn as influenced by applications of K fertilizers and ( d ) the effect of other factors such as plant population, soil texture, etc. on these relationships.
