Abstract
Data used in this study were collected from accident reports involving motorcycles in the state of Iowa for the years 1967 to 1970. A special search of the Fatal Accidents Investigated Reports shed substantial information regarding the causes of death and types of injuries incurred in fatal and non-fatal accidents as well as demographic characteristics and facts to describe the surroundings of the accident scene.
