Abstract
This report on The Highway Mode is intended for the veteran transportation planner as well as the uninitiated but concerned citizen. A broad range of relevant issues will be covered; the reader will be introduced to transportation planning and the factors that must be evaluated in the continuing effort to provide for today's highway needs as well as tomorrow's demands. Iowa's future multilane highway system will be examined in detail. Discussion will include its needs, expected traffic demands, the priorities involved, and the timing of its construction.
