Abstract
The Iowa Department of Cultural Affairs awarded$1.1 million in CARES Act grants to 173 arts, history and culture nonprofits in 50 Iowa counties to help them rebound from the corona-virus pandemic. That won’t fix everything, but it’s a big start. Funding for the grants resulted from the department’s vital partnerships with the National Endowment for the Arts, National Endowment for the Humanities, Arts Midwest and unanimous support from Iowa’s congressional delegation.
