Abstract

Studies of Middle and Upper Pennsylvanian conodonts in the Midcontinent region have not proceeded toward the goal of developing an effective biologic column. Early work summarized showed that almost all of the ramiform elements identified range in changed from the upper Cherokee Series. although considerable variation was noted among the play form elements, their use in discrimination of strata below the group level was considered to be unreliable.
