Abstract
A ground gravity survey of Black Hawk County, Iowa was conducted in the summer of 1971 in order to obtain more information regarding the Iowa basement complex. Black Hawk County lies on the eastern flank of the Mid-continent Gravity High and was found to contain a very steep gradient of 67 milligals. A close similarity between the Bouguer gravity and aeromagnetic maps lead to the interpretation of five anomalous features as well as several major fault structures.
