Abstract

This report documents the procedures and products from a research needs focus group meeting held on March 21, 2007. The purpose of the meeting was to identify research needs for bridges and structures in Iowa. The meeting was planned and organized by the Office of Bridges and Structures at the Iowa Department of Transportation (Iowa DOT) with the assistance of the Bridge Engineering Center (BEC) at the Center for Transportation Research and Education (CTRE). Participants at the meeting included representatives from Iowa counties, the Iowa DOT, Federal Highway Administration-Iowa Division, contractors, consultants, universities, and pertinent industries.
