Abstract
Iowa State Highway Commission authorized preparation of a preliminary feasibility report for a proposed new toll bridge in the vicinity of Toolesboro. This report is one of several comparable bridge studies to be conducted as part of the Iowa Toll Bridge Program, in accordance with legislation enacted by the Iowa General Assembly, a copy of which is included in the appendix. The various locations along the Mississippi River to be studied under this program are shown in Exhibit 2. The appendix also includes a copy of the General Bridge Act of 1946, the current Federal Legislation providing for the construction of bridges over navigable waters of the United States.
