Pursuant to Chapter 21.4 of the Code of Iowa, the Board of Parole gives the following notices:




The Board of Parole will convene in the Parole Board Conference Room at 9:00 A.M. on Tuesday, August 3, 2004, to review Halfway House cases and Special cases yet to be identified.

The Board of Parole will convene in Newton at the Correctional Release Center at 9:00 A.M. on Wednesday, August 4, 2004, to conduct interviews with inmates at that institution. (See Monthly Interviews.) Other cases yet to be identified may also be reviewed.

The Board of Parole will convene at 9:30 A.M. on Thursday, August 5, 2004, in the Parole Board Conference Room to conduct its monthly business meeting. The Board may consider some executive clemency cases (restoration of citizenship, firearm rights, pardons) and other cases yet to be identified. (See Business Meeting Agenda following this notice.)

The Board of Parole will convene at 1:30 P.M. on Thursday, August 5, 2004, in the Parole Board Conference Room to conduct an interview with Robert Hammond regarding his application for commutation of sentence.

The Board of Parole will convene in the Parole Board Converence Room on Friday, August 6, 2004, to review cases scheduled for Annual Reviews in September, 2004, to determine parole candidates for interview in September. (See Annual Reviews for August 6, 2004.) Other cases yet to be determined may also be reviewed

The Board of Parole will convene in Mt. Pleasant at the Mt. Pleasant Correctional Facility on Monday August 9, 2004, at 11:00 A.M. to conduct interviews with inmates at that institution. (See Monthly Interviews.) Other cases yet to be determined may also be reviewed.

The Board of Parole will convene in Fort Madison at the Iowa State Penitentiary at 9:00 A.M. on Tuesday, August 10, 2004, to conduct interviews with inmates at the Iowa State Penitentiary and John Bennett Correctional Center. (See Monthly Interviews.) Other cases yet to be determined may also be reviewed.

The Board of Parole will convene in the Parole Board Office at 9:00 A.M on Wednesday, August 11, and again at 9:00 A.M. on Friday, August 13, 2004, to review cases scheduled for September 2004 Annual Reviews at Iowa Correctional Instituion for Women, Mitchellville; Mt. Pleasant Correctional Facility and Mt. Pleasant Women's Unit; Iowa State Penitentiary and John Bennett Correctional Center & Farms, Fort Madison to determine parole candidates for interview in September. (See Annual Reviews.) Other cases yet to be determined may be reviewed.

The Board of Parole will convene in the Parole Board Conference Room at 9:00 A.M. on Thursday, August 12, 2004, to conduct electronic interviews with inmates at the Fort Dodge Correctional Facility. (See Monthly Interviews.) Other cases yet to be determined may be reviewed.

The Board of Parole will convene in the Parole Board Conference Room on Wednesday, August 18, 2004, to conduct electronic interviews with inmates at the North Central Correctional Facility. (See Monthly Interviews.) Other cases yet to be determined may be reviewed.

The Board of Parole will convene in the Parole Board Conference Room at 9:00 A.M. on Thursday, August 19, 2004, to conduct interviews with inmates at the Clarinda Correctional Treatment Unit. (See Monthly Interviews.) Other cases yet to be determined may also be reviewed.

The Board of Parole will convene in the Parole Board Conference Room at 9:00 A.M. on Tuesday, August 24, 2004, to conduct electronic interviews with inmates at Anamosa State Penitentiary. At 1:30 P.M. the Board of Parole will convene to conduct electronic interviews with inmates at the Iowa Medical & Classification Center, Oakdale. (See Monthly Interviews.) Other cases yet to be determined may be reviewed.

The Board of Parole will convene in the Parole Board Conference Room at 9:00 A.M. on Wednesday, August 25, 2004, and again at 9:00 A.M. on Thursday, August 26, 2004, to review cases scheduled for September 2004 Annual Reviews at Fort Dodge Correctional Facility; Clarinda Correctional Treatment Unit; and North Central Correctional Facility, Rockwell City; to determine parole candidates for interview in September.
