Abstract
The Iowa Department of Health and Human Services (Iowa HHS) contracted Altarum, a non-profit health research and consulting company, to analyze Iowa WIC Program data from the last five years (2018-2022) and develop a report presenting breastfeeding trends of WIC participants. The report titled “Iowa WIC 2023 Breastfeeding Report” presents the breastfeeding initiation and prevalence rates of Iowa WIC participants, as well as other programmatic measures related to the Breastfeeding Peer Counseling Program, staff training and the Breastfeeding Award of Excellence. This addendum presents the total number (N) or the counts (n) of WIC participants that correspond with each graph in the full report.
