Abstract
The State of Iowa Health and Human Services (HHS) Preliminary Findings and Progress Report is the second deliverable for the Child Protective Assessment. This report—based on the initial review of data, policy, practice, and artifacts provided by the state, as well as discussions with staff and leadership—provides an initial evaluation of the operational areas requiring the most focus for the Child Protective Assessment currently underway at HHS. It is intended to establish a baseline and outline preliminary findings and proposed next steps for leadership guidance, approval, and expectations.
