Abstract
The Iowa Department of Human Services and the Iowa Department of Public Health merged to create the Iowa Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). Over the next 12 months, the legacy departments began to merge functions. On July 1, 2023, the Iowa Department on Aging and the Iowa Department of Human Rights also joined HHS. For the purposes of this report, performance and budget data for each legacy department have been reported separately.
