Abstract
There are 3,736 manufacturing plants in Iowa. Of this number 539 firms are engaged in exporting Iowa made products and 142 firms which are importing raw materials to be processed. These establishments are listed here under the 20 Major Industry Group headings. It is important to note that while some firms manufacture a number of different kinds of products that not all of such products are necessarily exported. The raw materials or the products imported are not given.
