Abstract
This manual presents a description of the major responsibilities of Iowa's city and county assessors. The intent of this publication is to provide the reader with an overview of the multitude of duties performed by Iowa assessors as well as their interactions with property taxpayers, other local tax officials and state property tax administrative activities.
