Abstract
If you were an Iowa legislator, you might be very surprised on your first day at work in the General Assembly. You will not find separate offices for the senators and representatives! Each member has a desk on the floor of the House or Senate chamber. Next to the members is a small filing cabinet and chair, for the secretaries. The desk is your office!
