Abstract
The Siouxland Studies is a series of reports describing and analyzing various aspects of governmental organization and services in a generalized metropolitan region which encompasses parts of three states and whose center is Sioux City, Iowa. This particular report focuses upon the intergovernmental relations of the local governments within this region. It points out the extensiveness of these relationships and the variety of forms which they take. Information for the study was obtained by interview questionnaires with officials of the local governments in the region. We wish to express our thanks to these officials for their interest and cooperation in this study. Without their assistance this report would not have been possible.
