Abstract

Temporary and seasonal positions on the State’s payroll must be placed in the classification of Temporary Worker or Seasonal Worker, respectively. While these are not job classifications in the typical sense (i.e., those with a job class description used for the classification of permanent positions), these classes have been established to ensure the consistent compensation management and data reporting of all temporary and seasonal positions. The elongated pay ranges allow agencies a wide degree of flexibility in setting the hourly pay rate for a wide variety of types and levels of work.
