Abstract
The census is intended to show the source of supply and treatment facilities for all public water supplies in Iowa. Principal treatment features9 identified by capitalized letters are further described by lower case letters following them. In general the symbols are arranged in the order in which treatment occurs. Combination units9 performing more than one function in a single structure9 are denoted by enclosing the appropriate symbols in parentheses.
