Abstract
Iowa State University carries a strong tradition of helping students from different backgrounds attend college. Financial support in the form of scholarships and fellowships is a major factor in providing that assistance. Many individuals personally know the difference scholarships and fellowships can make, and continuing this tradition of giving is the best way to show appreciation for help previously received. Establishing a student support fund or adding to an existing one also can provide financial benefits, allow you to honor loved ones, create opportunities to get to know students, and encourage students to become future leaders.
