Abstract
The 1953 session of the General Assembly of Iowa enacted legislation creating an Iowa Public .Employees' Retirement System effective July 4, 1953, providing for administration of such retirement system by the Iowa Employment Security Commission; creating an Iowa Public Employees' Retirement fund and providing for the investment and expenditure thereof; creating an Iowa advisory investment board and prescribing the appointment and duties.
