Abstract

This report is the result of a three month study of child placement issues by a volunteer citizen's advisory committee. The committee was asked to focus on the child placement process t hat involves both DHS and the state's juvenile courts and consider ways of improving the following three aspects of this process: coordination and cooperation between DHS and the courts; continuity of child placement case planning; and the use of out-of-state placement facilities.
