Abstract
Following the legislative session of the 59th General Assembly which failed to enact specific legislation dealing with the problems of the aged citizen, Governor Norman A. Erbe created by executive order a "Governor's Commission on Aging". Former Governor Robert P. Blue was designated as Chairman of the Commission, and private citizens of Iowa with an interest in the problems of the aged were requested to serve on the Commission.
