Abstract
This report presents estimates of the total population as of July 1, 1988, revised estimates for July 1, 1987 and 1986, and components of population change, 1980- 88, for 3,139 counties and equivalent areas in the United States (including boroughs and census areas in Alaska, parishes in Louisiana, the District of Columbia, and independent cities in Maryland, Missouri, Nevada, and Virginia). No separate estimate is shown for Kalawao County, Hawaii (1980 population of 144); its population is included in the estimate for Maui County.
