Abstract
The Local Registrar, subject to the direction and supervision of the State Registrar, is responsible for the complete and accurate registration of all births, deaths, and stillbirths in his designated registration district. He should be thoroughly familiar with the pertinent portions of the vital statistics laws contained in this manual, as well as with other rules and regulations issued by the State Department. All information regarding illegitimate birth records shall be strictly confidential.
