Abstract
This collecting plan was created by the Society's Collections Committee, representing the Society's bureaus, board of trustees, and the public. The collecting plan defines, coordinates, and integrates the collecting efforts of the State Historical Society of Iowa. Staff, space, and funds for collecting are limited; the Society cannot collect everything, nor should everything be collected.
