Abstract
The purpose of this fact sheet is to explain changes to the Department of Natural Resources (DNR) rules for open burning. Recent rule changes clarified the requirements for structural training fires and added an exemption allowing cities to conduct a limited number of controlled burns of demolished buildings, subject to certain conditions.
