Abstract
Iowa’s Good Samaritan Law provides legal protection for individuals that deliver emergency assistance. Iowa Code “Emergency Assistance in an Accident” (Good Samaritan Law) protects individuals who, voluntarily and in good faith, provide emergency care or assistance. These responders shall not be liable for any civil damages for acts or omission occurring at the place of an emergency or accident unless such acts or omissions constitute recklessness or willful and wanton misconduct.
