Abstract
In FY12, The University of Iowa generated impressive extramural support of $438.1 million. This outstanding productivity continues to place the UI among the nation's elite public research universities and is especially significant in the face of challenging economic conditions in Iowa. This robust research enterprise and integrated economic development activities at the UI have a significant and far reaching impact on the state of Iowa’s economy.
