Abstract
Botulism is a rare but serious muscle-paralyzing illness caused by a nerve toxin (botulinum toxin) produced by the bacterium Clostridium botulinum. There are three forms of the disease–foodborne, infant, and wound botulism. This fact sheet is for health professional.
