Abstract
Raw data in this report was obtained from the Iowa Department of Revenue based on personal income tax returns for 1969. This data provided the numbers of farm and non-farm families in each county according to income range and family size. Poverty guidelines established by the Office of Economic Opportunity were then used to determine the number and percent of families meeting this definition of poverty.
