Abstract
The objectives of this investigation were: to ascertain the factors that influence the establishment of young farm operators in Iowa; to estimate the number of young farm operators who become established in farming each year; to determined the needs of young farm operators for agricultural education; to determine the types of educational programs in agriculture that are needed by young farm operators; to distinguish the differences in establishment of young farm operators by economic area of Iowa; to determine the differences in education need of young farm operators by economic of young farm operators in Iowa; to provide s source of information which will be helpful in program planning for educators in agriculture.
