Abstract
Auditor of State Mary Mosiman today released a report on the Iowa Public Employees’ Retirement System for the year ended June 30, 2016. The System provides retirement, disability and death benefits to most public employees in the State of Iowa. The System covered 349,710 active, inactive and retired members in fiscal year 2016. Mosiman recommended the System implement procedures to set targeted small businesses procurement goals in accordance with the Code of Iowa. The System’s response to the recommendation is included in the report. A copy of the report is available for review at the Iowa Public Employees’ Retirement Sytem, in the Office of Auditor of State and on the Auditor of State’s website at https://auditor.iowa.gov/reports/1760-5530-BR00
