Abstract
This Mid-America Association of State Transportation Officials (MAASTO) pooled fund will support collaborative research and information exchange about CAV technology and establish a common strategic direction for advancing CAV deployments. The study will provide member states with needed engineering and technical support services to research, develop, and deploy CAV technology and to promote various CAV-related initiatives among neighboring Midwestern states. Iowa is participating in this study to maximize the benefits offered by CAV and to ensure implementation is feasible in lower-population states.
