Abstract
That the Teachers of Iowa should have a knowledge of the Constitution of their own State is conceded. This fact has been recognized by the State Superintendent, and provided for in his Course of Study for Normal Institutes; and the part of said course of study relating to the constitution of the State is appended. The County Superintendents' Convention, recently in session in Des Moines, unanimously adopted a resolution providing for the publication of the State Constitution, and subscribed for a sufficient number to supply their teachers. In compliance with said resolution, and recognizing the fact that our constitution is inaccessible to the great body of teachers and people, we have undertaken to supply this general want by this publication.
