Abstract
This outline is developed as one part of a K-12 program. Its major purpose is to acquaint teachers and administrators with the principal concepts of modern mathematics, and to provide a guide for the introduction of new materials into the school curriculum. The materials are designed to provide a basic structure for the development of mathematics programs in the classrooms of Iowa, each school adapting the guide to its individual needs.
