Abstract

At this writing, the history of the Iowa Water Pollution Control Association and its predecessors already spans more than 50 years. The present Association is the result of the activities and the contributions of many, many hundreds of people with a great variety of interests centering on sewerage and pollution control. Better plant operation and better operators have always been the central purpose and primary objective of the Association. Consulting engineers, educators, manufacturers, sales representatives , health department engineers, municipal officials and many others have taken an active part in advancing the Association and its goals.
