Abstract

The purpose of any set of guidelines is to direct the thinking of those planning groups toward a common goal and to provide them with the tools necessary for the generation of a comprehensive solid waste management system. The planning group must consider all the factors of a solid waste management system: storage, collection, transportation, processing, recycling, disposal, organization and management; in order for their plan to be truly comprehensive.
