Abstract
The present series of studies were undertaken in an attempt to place before those persons interested in vocational education some of the underlying trends which are fundamental to educational planning and to indicate their implications for vocational education. This first bulletin, which was prepared to present a general background of trends for the series of studies, deals with "The Population of Iowa," "Some Educational Trends," and "Occupational Trends."
