Abstract

There are expanding vocational, technical, and business programs at the high school and post-high school levels. With the development of more vocational-technical programs in the schools of Iowa, the teacher shortage comes at a time when our state can least afford it. Development of the area schools places Iowa at the threshold of one of the greatest educational opportunities ever encountered. Educationally and economically we cannot afford to overlook the teacher shortage problem.
