Abstract
This report examines the current efforts of several visionary partnerships in Iowa who have been pioneers in bringing Head Start and child care services together for the children in their programs. The partners highlighted in this report include small Head Start agencies, child care centers, and family child care providers, as well as multi-site agencies serving one or more counties. However, because the creation of partnerships is an evolutionary process which will be molded and influenced by the community empowerment movement in Iowa, the unique culture of each community will be reflected upon the programs of the future.
