Abstract

The Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) is a comprehensive program of transportation-related improvements with in the Iowa City Urbanized Area. For consistency, projects in the rural portion of Johnson County adjacent to the Urbanized Area are also included. This document includes both minor and short-range projects and major long-range projects for all modes of transportation: transit, streets and highways, rail, bicycle, airport, and pedestrian. All transportation projects in the Urbanized Area receiving Federal funds must be programmed in the TIP.
