Abstract

The intent of this report is to update and maintain the transit planning effort initiated during FY 1976 within the Regional Transit Development Program (T. D. P.). A primary concern of this effort is to refine and reformat a regional transit development program for the INRCOG planning region for compatibility with the other regional transit programs being developed concurrently for assimilation by the Iowa Department of Transportation into a state-wide plan for transit. The INRCOG planning region (Area VII) encompasses Black Hawk, Bremer, Buchanan, Butler, Chickasaw, and Grundy Counties, or 3,163 square miles within which a population of approximately 223,000 persons currently reside.
