Abstract

Iowa State Highway Commission in cooperation with the United States Bureau of Public Roads conducted external origin-destination surveys in Stuart, Iowa. These surveys were undertaken to determine the extent to which traffic patterns in and around Stuart would be affected by the construction of Interstate 80 just south of Stuart. The purpose of this report is to present traffic data obtained in the Stuart area before and after the completion of Interstate 80 in this area. No attempt has been made in this report to form conclusions, but rather to present the findings of the surveys in a manner which will facilitate comparison.
