Abstract

The Highway Commission Funding Subcommittee was created by the joint standing Committees on Transportation of the General Assembly as authorized by House Concurrent Resolution 136 and the Legislative Council. The Subcommittee was directed to conduct a study to determine "the exact amount of funds available to the state highway commission, the manner of expending and allocating such funds, the priorities given to the allocation and expenditure of such funds for the construction or improvement of interstate and primary highways and in general the budgetary processes exercised by the state highway commission".
